With the build-up of dirt, debris and damaged fibres the skylights (or rooflights) on roof cladding systems can become opaque and lifeless which reduces their light transmission.
To restore their glazing properties, and add considerable life span, IPS will clean and prepare the skylight panels and then apply a polyurethane, clear glaze coating. Delglaze, from manufacturers Delvemade, is a coating developed specifically to treat skylights. Restoring these lighting qualities also offers companies the opportunity to save on electric lighting bills.
Safe Working
For each metal roofing contract IPS undertakes a Risk Assessment and considers the access requirements for all its personnel. We will produce a Method Statement and make it available to everyone concerned for the project in hand. We will also comply with Working at Height Regulations (2004) - at all stages of a metal roof, side cladding or gutter repair.

IPS employs an external Health & Safety advisory consultant to provide advice, training, resolve any issues and to maintain our compliance and focus as approved metal cladding contractors.
Complying with COSHH
All areas of metal coating repair require the use of paints which fall under the guidance of COSHH regulations. IPS comply with these regulations and all appropriate considerations are given to the risks posed by applying coatings in different environments and varying weather conditions.
